Too Amazing for Words!

Trevi Fountain

We threw in coins and made a wish!!!

Spanish Steps

The Spanish Steps

Oh the Men of Roma!

...and the gelato is fun too!

Amazing Bed & Breakfast...

We arrived in Rome and thanks to Tai's dear friend Alessandra Amati, stayed at Nina's Guest House.
It was located in Trastevere-- one of Rome's most quaint neighborhoods. The place was gorgeous and felt like home -- only there was no "inn keeper." It would have been perfect if there had been someone there to host us and guide us around. But we LOVED it!!! Charming...

On to Roma!

Marissa has her last chocolat fondant at the airport!

A "Bracelet-a-Place"

As Tai & Marissa travel, they have decided to collect a bracelet from each place they visit. The collection so far!

We Found Frappuccinos!

We actually found the only frappuccino in Cannes at the Sun Ice Cafe that just happened to have the cutest French barista too!

Strolling Around Town...

mostly window shopping since there was little else to do. But there were a few souvenir shops open and Marissa found the perfect gift for her sister Shelby.

Para - What?

As we sat at lunch a guy asked us if we wanted to parasail around the bay. Marissa jumped on it! Tai was worried about her back (since her back surgery) -- and more importantly -- her being in a mini dress. But Marissa assured her it would be an easy take-off and landing...SOOOO --

Lunch (One of Our Favorite Things)

As we strolled along the beach, we came across the most beautiful beach club we hadn't seen before - The Majestic. Of course it's the one Greg recommended we go to from the start. Arriving with hunger pains from no coffee or breakfast, we were ready for one of the huge gorgeous and delicious salads we had been having. We thought we were having a salad with Shrimp, avocado and crab but what came out was even more amazing. The avocado had been blended into a delicious mousse then layered with crab and shrimp. Soooooo good. Cannes opened our eyes (and mouths) to new flavors from the sea, especially through their beautiful salads.

Everywhere film festival pictures -- Tai's mom would love this!

Then on the Plage (French for Beach) for lunch...

On the way to lunch...

Tai had to get a picture for her mom in front of the Cannes Film Auditorium.

What We Saved....

...was our last day to shop! All of the things we had seen and couldn't stop thinking of and we knew we "had to have" so we were ready to charge. And of course Marissa's mom had reminded her enough times she had to "remember her sister". So we hit to streets. Every day at lunch the streets become a ghost town. All the shops close for lunch so we had become used to that. So when it was an eerily quiet ghost town. We didn't think much about it. So we decided to take a stroll through our favorite streets and then eat lunch before we shopped. We did run into a few locals buying bread.

We just had to make one last stop to the sweet shop…

…it was for a gift!! Really, the receptionist at our hotel was wonderful—Cecile deserved some macarons! And we NEVER turn down free samples.

A Sweet Serenade...

It is our last morning in Cannes and we are being graced with a sweet serenade as we pack.

Though we're supposed to be out of the room by noon -- we're not sure Marissa is going to be ready...
