Dinner at the Carlton

Dinner at the Carlton...divine...Dinner at the Carlton was soooooo good! It was Marissa's fanciest dinner ever.

And for her dinner she opted for "The Walk Through the Garden" which included four amazing courses:
first caviar mousse, then white asparagus with mixed greens, for the main course--lightly fried John Dory over a bed of peas and onions and a side of green asparagus with a foam sauce (my first foam dish!), then for dessert they brought me the "cherry ending," which included cherry ice cream, vanilla ice cream, AND the BEST cherry tart i have ever had (even though we were both convinced every course was the "best thing I have ever had!!").

Tai had "The Menu" which included:
A caviar mousse starter, an appetizer of fish over sauteed veggies and mixed greens, then a main course of duck and brown baked nectarines (really the best thing we have ever had!!!), potato crips, and zucchini, then the "exotic mousse" dessert that had a passion fruit layer at the bottom covered in coconut which was covered in chocolate mousse then topped off with a layer of white chocolate mousse! Sooooo good.

All this was accompanied with the BEST rose wine "we have ever had."
Gotta say there is a theme to this trip...every meal we have is "the BEST meal we have ever had." And it is the truth, each meal gets better and better and each is unique in its own delicious way.
